Lies are “Words spoken, written, or unspoken that seek to confuse, deceive, manipulate, hurt, and destroy people.”

Posted: 15-Dec-2023

It’s true! Lies are harmful. Lies are destroying the world. They are more dangerous than we think.

Come to think of it, there’s no such thing as an ‘innocent’ or ‘harmless’ lie. Let’s keep excuses and white lies aside for a while and focus on solid, intentional, black lies alone. Why do we need lies at all? If we examine that question, we’ll realize that the purpose behind every lie is one of (to): confuse, deceive, manipulate, hurt, or destroy the recipient(s).

Lies do so much damage that in today’s world of disinformation/misinformation, entire media wars are fought and won by creating and propagating deliberate lies. AI/deep fakes/hi-tech can convincingly turn innocents into criminals and vice-versa, so how do we find the truth?

If such be the dangerous power of lies, a deep examination of the effects of truth and lies on life becomes worthwhile. Truth points one to God. Truth is light. Truth builds up. Lies point you in just the opposite direction, to the devil, and guaranteed destruction over time! This book examines the nitty-gritty of truth and lies.

This book seeks to arm you with wisdom if soldiering on with values is what you prefer, unheeding of the pain and wounds.

All the signs of the world's decline and decay are around us: the lost battle to global warming, natural resources (particularly drinking water) becoming scarce, many kinds of environmental pollution, a rash of pandemics and killer diseases occurring at frequencies never heard before, and so on. Govs are finding it hard to cope and are trying desparate measures to stem the speed at which were plunging into destruction. (Note: Destruction cannot be averted, it's only the speed at which we are approaching it that Govs are trying to contain!).

Religions, have been proclaiming the doom of the world for long. Now scientists and rational thinkers agree. In this scenario, can we expect the Bible's predictions about religious persecution to begin in the not-too-distant future? The author believes it's true.

In this book, in a fresh, surprisingly beautiful story form, the author portrays what he envisions the religious, particularly Christians, will have to suffer in future at the hands of an anti-religion world.
