Bicycle enthusiast? Then this book is for you.

Posted: 18-Apr-2026

As a bicyclist, what makes you feel most vulnerable on a long-distance trip (say, crossing national borders into another country)? A sudden, unexpected tire puncture in a country/region that doesn’t sell standard-size tires/spares, right? Well, if you weren’t already aware, ETRTO (European Tire and Rim Technical Organization) standards solved that problem for you (though not universally adopted yet) starting from the mid-1960s.

How ETRTO standards became necessary to resolve the chaos and confusion caused by erratic tire sizes in early manufacturing is at the center of this book which also discusses a little history beginning with the world’s first bicycle in 1817; prominent pioneers and inventors like John Boyd Dunlop and Michelin; rubber and how the pneumatic (rubber) tire catapulted bicycles to global success; the evolution of the pneumatic tire into tubed and tubeless variants; mountain bike tires; ongoing research and future directions; and more!

A must-read for every bicycle enthusiast!

Do you have a guardian angel? How does yours protect you (if there’s one)?

Posted: 07-Apr-2026

Although there is no proof of their existence and diehard rationalists will deny the claim, many of us lean toward the possibility of the existence of Angels, maybe because Christianity upholds that claim.

Regardless, when we face insurmountable situations in life beyond human control, we’ll hope they exist and wish one would suddenly appear and solve whatever threatens us using their supernatural powers.

This lighthearted fantasy tale opens a window onto a fictitious world of guardian angels that combines Christianity, Greek Mythology and religions that teach reincarnation, such as Hinduism.

Read it to discover how guardian angels might be protecting you, if they indeed exist.
