I love literature and music. This blog has to do with these—Books (book reviews, articles, essays, authors, etc.), Poetry (loved poems and poets), and Music (songwriters, musicians, bands, songs, lyrics, etc.) They are treasures in words but all built up from the same basic building block viz; word(s). Hence the title of this Blog—'Treasures in Words!'
In his book “How Politics Has Distorted the Gospel,” noted author Jamie Cowen warns America that misguided religious
folks are at work to hijack Gov and turn it into a so-called “Christian Gov.” They must be stopped at all costs.
From history, we know that religion and politics don’t mix. Having learned that lesson so bitterly from the past,
right-thinking folks the world over attempt to keep the two separate. However, in the USA, the world’s most advanced nation,
misguided religious folks are presently at work to take control and form a so-called “Christian Gov”. However, they
aren’t true to the Bible and use crooked and dishonest means to achieve their goal. They must be stopped at all costs, ASAP.
It is true that both politics and religion are indispensible and invaluable to all mankind. From the former we have a Gov
and from the latter, a conscience. However, these two giants, never mix. On the contrary, when they stand separate but strike
the right balance, a nation prospers. When the right balance is struck, Gov’s work is approved/upheld by the nation’s
conscience and everything works fine.
This is not how things are happening in the USA today. Ever since the 2020 Presidential election, misguided religious folks are
hard at work to take control and turn the Gov into a so-called “Christian Gov”. They aren’t true to the Bible and use despicable
and crooked means to achieve their goals. This book is an eye-opener and an urgent wake-up call to Americans to get up and stop
the damage ASAP.
